TNA RETURNING TO CANADIAN TELEVISION

For those Canadians who still "care about" TNA Impact Wrestling, the drought is now over! After their deal with Spike ended in late 2014, wrestling fans north of the border were left a promotion short. Thanks to a newly inked multi-year deal with the Fight Network fans will get to see what is happening outside of WWE (and ROH). Sure, many people may say "who cares?" to this news. And they are somewhat justified, but that is only when talking about TNA's corporate and creative direction. The talent is still there, and the boys (and girls) can surely deliver. Let's be honest, without the high level of talent, TNA wouldn't have been able to last this long. If it all fell onto Dixie Carter and company, it would have simply died on the spot. We also may never see stars like Kurt Angle, MVP, and Jeff Hardy return to a WWE ring. With how WWE is structured now, we may never see TNA made stars appear there also.

So, when does all of this come to be? If you're thinking it may be a long wait, you would be mistaken. TNA returns to Canadian television April 3rd, 2015. That's right, this Friday at 9pm EST, and every Friday at that time that follows. A day of the week that doesn't seem to conflict with WWE programming. So, TNA should be able to reattach themselves to a strong Canadian fan base. Like stated before, the talent is still there. Whether or not the creative direction is any good, will of course be a wait and see situation. With Jeff Jarrett's new promotion still in the infancy stages, it will be nice to at least have something different from WWE programming. Which could help keep WWE's product feel fresh to some fans.
The action won't just stop with Impact on Friday nights, the Fight Network will also be airing TNA Xplosion will be airing every Saturday at 11pm. There will also be TNA's Greatest Matches that will be aired Friday's at 8pm leading into Impact at 9pm.

Whether or not TNA actually lasts, it was a step in the right direction to show that the company isn't dead. Not yet. Canadians are huge wrestling fans, and show that fact at any live events. Ask WWE, where Canada is referred to as Bizzaro Land. Making your product available to them can only be good for business. Here's hoping the corporate side keeps making smart business choices like this, and that creative finds its own way (like in the early days of TNA). Because again, the talent is there.

IT'S SHOWTIME!!!

Wrestling legend Sting, aka Steve Borden, recently appeared on the WWE Network as part of the Ultimate Warrior tribute and shared his thoughts and feelings on the late legend.
As reported before, Sting has signed with the WWE. While many other sites chose to back track on the report with WWE not making anything official yet,  The Non-Geeky Nerd said that it was likely Sting and WWE not wanting to take away from nor over shadow the tragic events and allow time to celebrate The Ultimate Warriors life and career. A class act by all involved.
Some may argue, but remember that it is very unlikely that the WWE would air wrestlers not under some form of contract with them. And some may say that this isn't how they would debut The Icon, and they would be right. Technically, we haven't see the debut of Sting. If you notice in the picture, it appears to be more Steve Borden the man, talking about the friend that he broke into the business with. It would almost be safe to say that when the time is right, he will have his official debut on Raw or at a Special Event (PPV) in full make-up.
Time will tell when that happens, but Sting has appeared on WWE programming. It wasn't simply an old WCW match or highlight either. It was recently shot footage. Some fans are psyched and there are those who don't care or think that it is at least ten years too late. Regardless, it appears that it won't be very long until It's Showtime!
