WRESTLING ICON SIGNS WITH WWE

It is being reported by a variety of reliable sites, that Steve Borden better known as Sting has finally signed with the WWE. Nobody has reported any details regarding the situation, only that The Icon has signed with the company. Sting represents the final piece to the WCW puzzle for Vince McMahon and the WWE. Being the only top superstar from the formerly Crocket and then Turner owned company who hasn't ever appeared in World Wrestling Entertainment. For fans, this is a big deal. It will be interesting to see how and when they use Stinger.

With the recent events of The Ultimate Warrior passing away so suddenly and his connection to Sting, it would be nice to see a The Icon make his debut during a Tribute Show for Warrior perhaps. Even if you aren't a Warrior fan, this presents an opportunity to restore some class to this tragic event after what occurred  with a Sweat Hog (as Cody Rhodes said) tarnishing both the names of not only the man who was Jim Hellwig (Warrior) but also Owen Hart. Intended or not, WWE can use this rise above this, show they are better and having Sting apart of this would make the event historic as Warrior would want and deserves.

Although people would still pay to see Sting perform inside of a WWE ring, a match with The Undertaker is a dream match. Perhaps a match with Stinger would persuade the Deadman to return for one more match. There are those who think that the outcome is even more a mystery than it would have been with The Streak still intact. If not, there is always Chris Jericho, who has shown he can help Legends have more great matches as he did with Ricky Steamboat in the past.

One thing is almost for certain, and that is Sting being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame next year. Which would be an amazing thing, but here's hoping we see a Stinger Splash and Scorpion Deathlock before that time comes, or the day after against an opponent at Wrestlemania 31. We'll keep you posted as more details come available. Until next time...
